An impaled buck dashed off after Ridgewood police and public workers freed him from a fence Friday morning.

The deer was caught on the fence outside a private Prospect Street home, bringing village police and Signal Division workers.

They cut the fence and removed the section from his leg before the slightly bleeding buck ran off.
